PIN Change (PIN-code change service)
This service allows customers to set a PIN on payment cards provided by Bank of Baku OJSC or change a forgotten (lost) PIN to a new one, which they can easily remember.
How the PIN can be changed?
The PIN can be changed by contacting bank branches or through the ATM infrastructure. When setting the PIN, you should not use easily unraveled combinations (e.g., date of birth, last digits of a phone number, etc.). This service intended to improve the security of bank cards is applicable to payment cards issued by Bank of Baku OJSC (except for virtual cards).
Service Fee:
The PIN Change service fee is 1 (one) AZN
Changing the PIN is recommended in the below cases:
- If the PIN is known to someone other than the cardholder or there is any suspicion about it,
- To choose a more easily remembered PIN combination;
The PIN can be changed through the ATM as follows:
1. Choose the operation type ‘PIN Change’,
2. Enter a new PIN,
3. Re-enter the new PIN,
4. The PIN has been successfully changed.
Changing the PIN for new Bolkarts
Despite both cards (payment and bonus) are physically the same payment card, a separate PIN Change service shall be provided for each of them. When inserting Bolkart into an ATM, the Mastercard and Bonus menus appear. You should change the PIN for each of them separately.

How do I get a new PIN?
If the cardholder has forgotten the PIN of the payment card provided by the Bank or entered the wrong PIN 3 (three) times, the PIN can be changed through the ATM without contacting the bank. In this case, an SMS is sent to the cardholder to restore the PIN. The cardholder may set a new PIN through the ATM infrastructure of Bank of Baku OJSC using a one-time password provided via SMS.
Service Fee:
2 (two) AZN.
Note: If there are not enough funds on the card account balance, the operation will be possible after receiving funds to the card account.
The PIN restoration procedure:
After receiving a one-time password via SMS,
1. insert your payment card into the ATM,
2. choose the language and click the ‘Set New PIN’ button,
3. after receiving the code sent via SMS, click the ‘Next’ button,
4. enter a new PIN,
5. re-enter the new PIN,
6. to confirm, enter the code received via SMS-notification again and click ‘Next’.
Upon completing these steps, the PIN will be successfully changed.
The service of changing the PIN to a new one is applicable to payment cards issued by Bank of Baku OJSC (except for virtual cards). This operation is accessible through the ATM infrastructure owned by Bank of Baku OJSC.
To use the service, the SMS Banking should be active for the payment card. The holders of cards for which the SMS Banking is inactive should contact the Call Center 145 and restore the PIN after connecting to the SMS Banking.
